Delivering An Outstanding Experience

A great training provider requires multiple areas to align to deliver an outstanding learner experience:

  • The right learners

  • The right staff

  • Great programme design

  • Quality teaching which promotes learning and engagement, using interesting and varied techniques plus technology

  • A robust system of learner accountability to drive performance

  • Excellent employer engagement

  • Quality systems and processes to aid efficiency and quality communication

We know from our own experience that when all these factors are in place to a high level, the job of running a training provider successfully become a lot easier and retention, achievement and profitability all improve.

All of which is a lot easier said than done.  Especially when it can be so easy to be thrown off course by outside funding and inspection bodies demands.

How Have We Helped Other Providers?

  • Maximisation of contract drawdown and profitability through innovative curriculum design

  • Streamlining data collection and reporting to improve real time outcome interventions

  • Aligning employability and skills delivery to improve delivery performance and learner experience

What Do We Focus On?

  • Devising great delivery strategies to improve your Profitability

  • Making your teams more Productive through improved decision making

  • Improving your processes and data to drive Performance

 Our Fool-Proof Strategy

Step 1 - Creating Your Road Map

  • We start by reviewing your current business-wide delivery strategy against your key business objectives, including your latest SAR

  • We then carry out a range of investigations across key business functions to understand your business and people and what their needs are; including observations, interviews and surveys

  • We create a series of diagrams to understand your current processes, then work with key personnel to identify opportunities for improvement

  • We present a full Gap Analysis for you to decide the key priorities for future projects

Step 2 – Full Technical Support

This is where our clients get to have a pick and mix approach to how they work with us.  Here are some examples of the kind of short term high impact interventions we can deliver to get things moving rapidly in the right direction:

  • Devising the Schemes of work to implement qualification bundles

  • Budget and profile planning for new delivery model across all your contracts

  • Implementing API links between externally sourced IT systems

  • Building reporting dashboards

  • Devising an integrated employer engagement, learner engagement and marketing strategy including social media.

  • Building learner specific websites integrated to backend systems and with the ability for learners to apply for training

  • Conceptualising new initial assessments

Step 3 – Wrap around care

Change is not easy, and sometimes we need someone external to push us in the right direction.  The biggest barrier to change?  Getting staff to be happy and confident is a key part of the battle.  Here are some examples about how we can help:

  • Staff training for innovative delivery methods

  • Monthly accountability sessions with management teams to review actuals against profile

  • Coaching support for key staff members to develop in their roles

  • Training staff to use data dashboards to drive performance

  • Support and guidance to implement new sales, marketing and employer engagement strategies.

  • Training and supporting staff to deliver quality IAG and carry out good learner inductions

Deploying a Great ALN Strategy

Lots of providers have chosen to shy away from claiming the available additional funds to support learners with additional learning and support needs. In the short term this can seem like a good plan for a quiet life, but as you grow it can deprive these vulnerable learners from the kinds of support that can help them to achieve. Sues & Julia from Be Astute talk through the issues and things to think about.
